43,000 sq. ft mural highlighting the complex cultural dynamics of Chattanooga’s
history. As gentrification encroaches on cultural endangerment, the work reclaims an entire city block with a multi-directional narrative that reconciles the past with a hopeful future.

Temporary installation commissioned by Project HOME for the 2015 papal visit and the World Meeting of Families. The interactive installation drew over 150,00 participants, served as a place of reflection, and was visited by Pope Francis.

At 30,000 square feet, this mural is the largest publicly funded mural in the United States. The process involved over 2,500 community participants. Two walls depict the cycles of life and objects from residents’ homes that they would like to remain until the year 3000.
