Knotted Sanctuary is a continuation of the 2015 temporary installation Knotted Grotto that garnered over 150,000 direct participants in creating a public art installation built from handwritten personal struggles and prayers. Today, 60,000 of these struggles permanently live and breath in Knotted Sanctuary, a colorful tribute to the grotto’s powerful message.
